Street Work Set to Start on Henly Loop @ US 290 W

Intersection enhancements at US 290 West and Henly Loop are anticipated to start on or about Feb 28. The upcoming development operations would require a FULL closure of the intersection of Henly Loop and US 290 W in Dripping Springs. (See mission map under.) The mission was initially began beneath Commissioner Walt Smith, Pct. 4, however following the county’s 2021 redistricting, it moved to Commissioner Lon Shell in Precinct 3.

When development begins, the Henly Loop/US 290 W intersection east of FM 165 might be closed for upgrades and the development of a proper flip lane. The length of the closure is roughly three (3) months. Crews will present a detour route with correct signage and message boards for Hays County residents. The mission limits will lengthen from the intersection to Previous Pink Ranch Street.

“A brand new left flip lane onto US 290 and a proper flip lane onto Henly Loop will enhance security and site visitors operations on the intersection,” Commissioner Shell mentioned. “Hays County thanks residents upfront for his or her cooperation and attentiveness throughout this time.”

Building is anticipated to be full later this summer season.
